White and Dark Chocolate Brownies


4 oz unsweetened chocolate
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chopped white chocolate
1 cup chopped walnuts


8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup cream

In top of double boiler over hot water, melt unsweetened and semi-sweet chocolate with butter. Let cool

In bowl, beat eggs with sugar, stir in vanilla. Beat in chocolate mixture. Mix together flour baking powder and salt. Fold into chocolate batter. Stir in white chocolate and nuts. Spoon into a lined 13 X 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes until crusty on top but soft underneath. Don't overbake! Let cool slightly. Run knife around edge of brownies and invert onto wire rack to cool completely.

For the glaze, melt chocolate with cream over double boiler. Spread over brownies.
