Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour two 8 inch round cake pans or a 9 x 13 inch pan. Sift dry ingredients together. In another bowl, combine wet ingredients. Blend wet into the dry until moistened. Beat on medium speed until smooth, about 3 minutes. Pour into prepared pan and bake about 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
